The Hyderabad-based regional carrier TruJet, part of Turbo Megha Airways Pvt Ltd is commencing its maiden flight on July 12 from Hyderabad to Tirupati and Rajahmundry. All the metro cities are currently over-crowded with several carriers, however, regional areas are still not connected to the air services. As part of easing load of the regional passengers, TruJet will connect 10 cities including Aurangabad, Hubli and Mangalore and others.

The local devotees will be able to fly directly to Tirupati to take darshan of Lord Bajali while passengers from Hyderabad can also reach Shirdi for Sai Darshan directly. TruJet conducted test flight of Hyderabad-Aurangabad route last week. The flight will have 72 passengers on board.

The plane will land at Chikalthana Airport at 12.50 pm daily from July 26 onwards, while the flight from the city will take off at 1.15 pm and will touch down Hyderabad around 2.55 pm. It will take over one hour and a half hours to reach Hyderabad. The carrier has proposed to launch air service for Aurangabad-Bengaluru route also. This will enhance connectivity of Aurangabad with other cities.
