Ban notification on tourist buses issued

The city police have notified the routes to be used by private tourist buses. Accordingly, they will be allowed to travel only up to Kalda Corner in the city. The notification comes into force from tomorrow (Thursday). 


Police said buses coming from Pune- Mumbai will have to take the right turn from the AS Club for the link road and will have to terminate their journey at Kalda Corner via Mahanubhav Chowk, Godawari Dhaba, Sangramnagar flyover and Easy Day mall ground. 


The buses coming from Mumbai, Nashik and Dhule will be diverted to AS Club Chowk from Nagar Naka and will take the same route up to Kalda Corner. The buses coming from Jalna side will take right turn from the Cambridge High School and will use the railway over bridge, Zalta T-poing, Beed Bypass, Godawari Dhaba and Kalda Corner via Easy Day mall ground. 

The buses coming from Jalgaon side will take left turn from the Cidco bus stand Chowk and will travel through Cambridge High School Chowk, railway over bridge, Zalta T-poing, Beed Bypass, Godawari Dhaba, Easy Day mall ground and Kalda Corner. No passenger can be picked up or dropped at any other place in the city. With this, the ban for entry for private tourist buses will be enforced between 7 am and 11 pm.

However, the buses ferrying schoolchildren, staffers, company workers, MSRTC passengers, government, semi-government buses, marriage party buses and tourists' luxury buses will be exempted, provided they have intimated the police in advance.
Objections are invited by the traffic branch of the city police in person in its office situated near Paithan Gate or on e-mail ID of -  acptraff.abad@mahapolice.gov.in
