• After the approval of the standing panel, the civic budget for 2014-15 has been waiting for mayor's clearance
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) cornered the Shiv Sena, its ally in the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), over the delay in clearing the civic budget for 2014-15.
A meeting of the BJP-Sena ruling alliance leaders was held at Subhedari Guest House in the presence of MP Chandrakant Khaire on Sunday. Issues related to various civic works and transfers of officials were discussed in the meeting. BJP members blamed Sena for the delay in clearing the civic budget.
After the approval of the standing committee, the civic budget was sent to mayor Kala Ozha, who belongs to Sena, but she is yet to pass it.
On Saturday, BJP corporators had called on MP Khaire insisting on holding a meeting to discuss issues related development works and resolve differences among the ruling alliance members. Accordingly, a meeting was organised at Subhedari Guest House on Sunday.
Mayor Kala Ozha, deputy mayor Sanjay Joshi, MLA Pradeep Jaiswal, MLA Sanjay Shirsath, group leader Sanjay Kenekar, municipal commissioner Dr Harshdeep Kamble, city engineer S D Panzade, executive engineer Sikandar Ali, BJP city president Bhagwan Ghadamode and others were present.news-LT
