World Tourism Day celebrated with zeal - Source The Economic Times


The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) celebrated the World Tourism Day with a great zeal and enthusiasm.
MTDC senior regional manager Chandrashekar Jaiswal, Anjali Badwe and Aurangabad Tours and Travel Association (AT&TA) president Vedant Ratnaparkhi, vice-president Amir Hussaini and secretary Vinod Patil and Pravin Dere accorded a traditional welcome to tourists at Chikalthana Airport at 7 am. 
MTDC team also welcomed tourists arriving at Railway Station and Central Bus Stand early morning. Staffers Sushma Joshi and Sharda Bande performed 'aukshan' of tourists and presented flowers. Free brochures and DVDs were also distributed.
At Ajanta, MTDC managers Agre and Sayyad welcomed tourists at T-point and Visitors Centre, while at Ellora, manager R T Dhanshetty welcomed tourists at various points and Visitors Centre. At Kalagram, a free art workshop was organised by manager Nadeem Shaikh. It evoked a good response. Artists Nandkumar Jogdand, Prabhakar Khare, S D Kumawat, P S Purwar, Yogini Panchal and K R Tribhuvan gave a demonstration of their paintings and art. 
MTDC's Ramdas Kshirsagar, Rajesh Gode, Manisha Biradar, Shabbir Baig, Sachin Jamdade, Yogesh Shinde and others toiled to make the programmes a success.
