Thousands join 'Bharat Jago Daud' - Source LT


Thousands of people including students, teachers, social activists and volunteers of National Service Scheme of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University and affiliated colleges participated in 'Bharat Jago Daud' (run for nation) on September 11.
Vice chancellor Dr Vijay Pandharipande, commissioner of police Sanjay Kumar, P P Vishnupadanandji Maharaj from Ramkrishna Mission, Bhante Gyanjagat, deputy mayor Sanjay Joshi, Prof Virendra Bhandarkar lit the torch and also flagged off the run from the ground of S B College.
Students, sportsmen, social activists who actively participated in the procession raised slogans like 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Swami Vivekanand Ki Jai, Bharat Jago Vishwa Jagao'. The procession returned the same venue via Savarkar Chowk, Kranti Chowk Police Station, Nutan Colony Chowk, Paithan Gate, Gulmandi, Mahatma Phule's statue.
International level athlete and players Chakrawolu Sworo, Reena Kumari, Jayant Talukdar and others were welcomed before the rally. The dignitaries also guided the participants. Ashok Bhalerao from S B Education Society, Akshay Shisode from Vivekanand College, Pravin Ghuge, Nitin Rathod, Prof Gajanan Sanap, Kishor Shite and others were also present.
