The three-week-long refresher course on e-Governance and e-Learning, organised by the Academic Staff College (ASC) at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, concluded on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Dr Ganesh Shetkar dwelt on the importance of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in higher education and the role of the Academic Staff College in teacher's training. ASC deputy director Dr D V Mane explained how the ICT has eased the process of teaching in classrooms.
Course coordinator Dr R R Deshmukh spoke on how important the subject e-Governance and e-Learning is in all stream of higher education.
ASC director Dr Arun Kharat said ICT is the need of the day as the role and importance of computers is growing in each and every institution.
ASC assistant director Dr Mohammed Abdul Raffey conducted the proceedings. Eminent persons from the field of academic, industry and from government institutions delivered lectures during the 18 working-day course. Around 26 senior college teachers from the State and outside participated in the course.
