Tying friendship bands on the wrist of their friends and wishing each other on the occasion of Friendship Day is a common practice. However, this time round some enthusiastic city youths have round a novel way to celebrate Friendship Day.
These youths have formed a non-government organisation (NGO) for youths titled 'Youthenia which would work towards achieving 'Vision India 20-20'. This NGO would undertake various youth oriented activities like youth development and address their problems in education, sports and girls empowerment. This organisation would also make foray in cultural events, business guidance and help in exploring employment to youths.
IPS officer Jay Jadhav inaugurated the office of the organization at Osmanpura on Sunday. He praised the youth for their unique attempt He guided the youths on career opportunities in UPSC, social media awareness and on Vision India 20-20. He also interacted with youths and answered their queries.
President of Youthenia Khalid Kureshi and city coordinator Mayur Sonawane said that youths are the backbone of the country and need to work sincerely and decisively for the development of the country. Coordinators Nazish Siddique, Priyanka, Abhijeet Patil and Mohammad Basir took efforts to make the programme a success.
