Workshop on shadu clay idols held - Source LT

Students learnt technique of making Shadu clay Ganesh idol from Maneesha Chaudhari at a workshop held in Mukul Mandir in Aurangabad recently. Workshop on eco-friendly Ganesha Idols.
Ujwalatai Pawar School, Satara Parisar will hold a free workshop on making eco-friendly idols of Lord Ganesha for the school-going students on the School premises from August 28 to 31 from 10 am to 1pm.
"Ten students studying between fifth and tenth standards from each school can participate in the workshop. Principals may send the list of the interested candidates to the Ujwalatai Pawar School principal. Students should take advantage of the free seminar," said Ananda Suryavanshi. 
A one-day workshop on making Ganesh idols from Shadu clay evoked an overwhelming response with over 600 students enthusiastically learning the technique of making eco-friendly idols in Mukul Mandir in Cidco N-7 on Friday.
The workshop was organized in the school by the Deepshikha Foundation with an aim of creating awareness of protecting environment among school students. Foundation chairperson Maneesha Chaudhari said that the workshop got underway with planting 5 saplings on the premises of the school. Veteran educationist and school founder Nirmal Dada was personally present in the workshop and encouraged the children to make Shadu clay Ganesh idols, dissolvable in water. Jayant Chaudhari, Suresh Pardeshi, Mayur Bhalerao, Jyotsna Jadhav, Manjusha Patil and others made efforts to make the workshop a success.
