Vice chancellor Dr Vijay Pandharipande has urged people to participate in the 'Open Day' programmes beginning tomorrow as part of the 55th Foundation Day of the university.
It may be recalled that this project was started two years ago to help students and parents get detailed information on various courses and facilities available at the university.
All the departments, library and laboratories will remain open from 10 am to 5 pm on August 22 and 23. Professors, researchers and postgraduate students will provide information to visitors.
In his message on the eve of the Foundation Day, Dr Pandharipande said people, especially parents, will be able to know about various courses and career opportunities for their children.
He has appealed to all people to visit the university and participate in the programmes.
There will be a blood donation camp in Physical Education Department tomorrow, while an exhibition of 400 medicinal plants in the Botany Department.
Similarly, students of the Zoology Department will present 'models of economic zoology' under their programme 'Save Animal' on both days. Movies based on prominent Hindi and Marathi novels will also be screened at Hindi Department.
