Association of the government-recognised typewriting and shorthand institutions felicitated school education minister Rajendra Darda
Lauding the initiative of school education minister Rajendra Darda in introducing the computer technology courses in the government-recognized typing institutes which had been facing great difficulties recently, the association of government-recognized typing and shorthand institutes in Maharashtra felicitated the minister by presenting him a scroll of honour at a programme held at Sant Tukaram Maharaj auditorium, Cidco recently. Dr Sudhir Tambe presided over the function. MLC Vikram Kale, MLA Dr Kalyan Kale, corporator Mahesh Malwatkar, education chairman, convenor and organization chairman Prakash Karale, Chandmal Chandiwal, Lalchand Chandiwal, Sanjay Deshmukh, Meera Sasane, Kiran Patil were present.
A delegation of the typing institutes had called on the school education minister Darda and apprised him of their difficulties in the computer age. He sympathized with the institutes and suggested that they should start computer courses in them and this solved their problem, giving their institutes a new lease of life.
Replying to the felicitation, Darda praised the organizers. The programme lasted for three and a half hours, but nobody left the venue. Speakers praised Darda for taking the initiative in solving the problems of the typing institutes. A special issue 'Prathmesh' was published on the occasion. Sardarsingh Bainade made introductory remarks while Shailendra Patil proposed a vote of thanks.
