'Preamble' translated into Pali language - Source LT

n Dr Anand achieves distinction of being first to do it

Dr Manish Anand, an associate professor with the Pali and Buddhism Department at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, has translated the Preamble of the Constitution in Pali language, a first-ever attempt in the country.
Dr Manish Anand presented the translated copy of Preamble of the Constitution to vice chancellor Dr Vijay Pandharipande during the Foundation Day of the varsity. 
Vice Chancellor of Shivaji University Dr N J Pawar, registrar Dr D R Mane, controller of examinations Dr Ashok Chavan and director of Students Welfare Department Dr Walmik Sarwade were present.
Dr Anand, who has got the distinction of being first in the country to have translated the Preamble, had made up his mind to do it on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the architecture of Constitution Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. Like in Marathi and English, there are 16 lines of the Preamble in the Pali version.Dr Anand achieves distinction of being first to do it Vice chancellor Dr Vijay Pandharipande accepts the translated copy of the Preamble of the Constitution from Dr Manish Anand. Also seen are VC Dr N J Pawar, Dr D R Mane, Dr Ashok Chavan and Dr Walmik Sarwade.
