Mayor Kala Ojha and former deputy mayor Prashant Desarda inaugurated the 3-day women trade fair here on Sunday.
The fair is jointly organised by RSS women group and Indian Jain Sanghatna at Agrasen Bhavan in Cidco.
The trade fair which have varieties of items on display would conclude on August 13.
The women can choose items like raakhi, dress materials, saris, jewelleries, antic items, papad khakra, imitation jewelleries, handmade items during the fair.
The trade fair has 80 stalls having variety of items put on display for sale.
The Blind Organisation and Navjeevan Mentally Retard High school have been allowed to put their stalls free of cost.
While speaking, mayor Kala Ojha lauded these women for taking this novel initiative and urged them to organise such fair at least 2-3 times in a year. She also assured them of all-possible help from Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) for the fair.
Project head Rupali Phursule, Rakhi Sancheti and Swati Malhotra are taking efforts for the last 15 days to organise the trade fair successfully.
The fair is open to all and organisers have appealed people to take advantage of the trade fair.
Dr Shantilal Sancheti, Adv Gautam Sancheti, Rajendra Bhandari and Paras Bagrecha were among those present on the occasion.
