Human Development Index: Bamu to hold workshop for teachers - Source The Times Of India

The Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) has organised a workshop to train college teachers in preparation of Human Development Index of Maharashtra under the Human Development towards Bridging Inequalities (HDBI) project.

The project would be jointly organised by theUnited Nations Development Programme (UNDP), government of India, state government and Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration, (Yashada) Pune.

The project includes conceiving a report on Human Development Index (HDI) at state and district level. "Hence, to train the required workforce as per the requirement, the professors will be trained in the workshop, "said S P Zambare, director, Board of Colleges and University Development (BCUD).

The day-long workshop will be held on September 6 in the university premises. tnn

The university has asked that two professors or associate professors or assistant professors from each faculty of social science, social work or educational studies register for the workshop.

Zambare said that the workshop will include 50 seats reserved for such individuals and seats will be allocated on first-come-first-serve basis for which the registration process has to be completed by September 3.
