Banks to hire 50,000 clerks - Source LT

Golden opportunity for educated unemployed Soon, the State Bank of India will publish an advertisement for the recruitment. The CWE by the IBPS will be held for 50,000 posts in clerical cadre. The attraction of jobs in this sector has increased as candidates get jobs based on merit. Last year, the State Bank of India had recruited nearly 20,000 candidates.
There is some good news for job seekers. After recruitment drives of forest, irrigation departments and civic administration, the banking sector will be holding mega recruitment drive for filling up more than 50,000 vacancies in the nationalized and private banks. 
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has issued a notification stating that the banks like the State Bank of India and some private sector banks will recruit 50,000 clerical posts. The process for filing online applications for the Common Written Examination (CWE) for clerical cadre-2013 will start from August 19. The exam can possibly be conducted during November/December-2013. Candidates who pass the CWE will be called for the personal interview and will be given jobs if they successfully complete the interview.
The CWE will be of two hours in which 200 questions will be asked with the negative marking system for the wrong answers. The exam is a golden opportunity for the candidates who have passed their twelfth or graduation exam with first class.
