Applications invited from minority students for merit-based scholarship - Source LT

The last date for online submission of application for fresh candidates is September 30 while the last date of submission of the duly signed hard copy is October 10. The last date of renewal is December 2012 while last date of submission of duly signed hard copy is January 10. The institute will have to carry out scrutiny of application online within 30 days from date of submission by the candidate.

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has started inviting online application for 'Merit-cum-Means based scholarship for the students of minority communities pursuing technical and profession education for the academic year 2013-14. The economically weaker and meritorious students belonging to Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Christian and Parsi minority communities should have obtained through common entrance test or obtained minimum 50 per cent marks at qualifying examination.
The applicants should not avail any other scholarship or stipend and total annual income of family should not be more than 2.50 lakhs.
A total of 30 per cent seats are reserved for girls. The candidate should be a student of professional and technical courses including B E, B Tech, M E, M Tech, B Pharm, M Pharm, Fashion Technology, MCA, MBA, MMS, Health Science Course, Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Applied Arts and Craft, LLB and LLM, Animal Husbandry, CA,ICWAI, CS etc.
The eligible aspiring students should fill the online application for fresh or renewal of scholarship on the website 'htt://momascholarship.gov.in.
