Water level at Jayakwadi goes up - Source LT

The water level at Jayakwadi has gone up owing to incessant rainfall in catchment area of the dam for the last two days. The dam has received 6 million cube meter water. However, the water level is still below the dead stock.
Like Marathwada, there was incessant rainfall in Paithan city and catchment area throughout Tuesday and Wednesday. On Tuesday, the dam held 1490.90 feet water. The level went up to 1491.12 feet on Wednesday. There was 592.890 MCM water on Tuesday which now has gone up to 598.890 MCM. The metrological department has forecast heavy rainfall in the days to come. Thus, one can hope of further water increase in the dam.
