The SSC examinations will be held from March 3 to March 24 across the State, including on Sundays and public holidays. There will be minimum one day gap after every core subject paper. The students of MCVC (with core subjects and technical group) will appear for the HSC examination in March 2014 as per the old syllabus (March 2013) as it has not been upgraded as yet. But, they will take examination of language papers with the upgraded syllabus
The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) announced the schedule for HSC and SSC examinations to be held in 2014 so that students can prepare for the examinations very well.
The examinations of HSC will be conducted in nine divisions of the State-Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur and Konkan from February 20 to March 29, while of students of SSC will take their exam from March 3 to March 27, 2014.
With a view to reduce the stress of students the examinations of compulsory subjects will be conducted between February 20 and March 10, 2014.
While a minimum of three days gap will be given after each paper of Science stream. The examinations of Physics will be held on February 25 while students will take Mathematics paper on March 1 followed by Chemistry (March 6) and Biology (March 10).
The duration of Commerce stream examinations will be of 19 days from February 20 to March 3 while students of Arts faculty will appear for the examinations from February 20 to March 19. The details of schedule has been uploaded on the website of the Board 'www.msbshse.ac.in' for information.
The written schedule will be sent to the colleges before the examinations will be considered final, said the secretary of the MSBSHSE.
