The much awaited Shlok Exhibition of paintings, sculptures and portraits will be held in September. The entry process of the exhibition has begun while the last date of entry will be August 8. It is a golden opportunity for the artists from Marathwada, Khandesh, Western Maharashtra and Pune. The exhibition has been categorised in three groups which will include painting, sculpture, graphics and print. The artists will receive awards and certificates in various categories. All the student artists will have to attach an attested photocopy of their college identity card to the photos of the painting. The professionals and other artists should be graduates and they should have participated in two to four solo or group exhibitions. They should provide their bio-data at the time of entry. They should send an 8 by 10 inches photo of their painting and 300 D.P.I format of the same photograph in a CD. The received photo and CD will not be returned. Each artist can send four paintings.
The student artists will have to pay Rs 150 per painting as entry fees. Professional and other artists will have to pay Rs 300 per painting. The fees once paid will not be refunded. The participants should write their names, date of birth, address, title of the painting, medium, size, price etc at the back of the photo. The size of the canvas to be sent for the exhibition has been fixed at 10 square feet. The responsibility of any damage to the frame will lie solely with the artist. The paintings on mount board will not be accepted. The price of the painting of student artist will be maximum Rs 15,000 and Rs 40,000 for professional and other artists. The paintings will be sold only at the fixed price.
The selected water colour and charcoal portraits should be framed in acrylic glass. Paintings and other artifacts can be sold in the exhibition. The organising team will have the right to take the final decision. Further information can be obtained on 9921030700.
