Here's some good news for the citizens visiting city's pride Siddharth Garden. The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will soon be throwing open its modern II-tier parking facility.
"The modern and spacious parking facility has been built on 1,508 square metres (1.4 acres). A total of 85 cars can be parked at the basement and 200 two-wheelers on the first floor," said executive engineer (and BoT chief) Syed Sikander Ali. The parking contract has been outsourced for a period of 10 years to a local contractor. The standing committee has also okayed the parking charges, fixed for six hours. The charge for a four-wheeler is `25 and for a two-wheeler `10.
The II-tier parking is part of the proposed Food Plaza, being developed on a build-operate and transfer basis by the AMC.
