Now, admissions to M Sc Microbiology will be given on the basis of Common Entrance Test (CET) in the colleges affiliated to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University from the current academic year.
Till last academic year, the students were given admission to postgraduate course in Microbiology without CET.
The Academic Council and Board of Studies have prepared norms for admission to the course.
The admission process to different postgraduate courses started few days ago. As per the norms, the colleges should give admission to the PG course on the basis of CET only.
Candidates with only B Sc Microbiology as one of the option subjects is eligible for entrance as well as admission to the PG course.
The entrance test based on B Sc Microbiology curricula will be of 100 marks with a cut-off of 40.
The pattern of examination will be of multiple choice questions and the colleges will have to conduct it on their own.
