Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) has received 3,022 applications for Ph D admission.
The process of the online registration for Ph D started on May 10 and the last date was May 31. However, the university administration had to extend the last date by ten days (June 10) following the complaints of technical problems in the online registration process. Although 4,538 students had made online registration, only 3,022 submitted their hard copies by the last date.
Talking to this newspaper, director of the Board of College and University Development (BCUD) Dr P S Jhambre said they have received 3,022 online applications by June 10. He further said heads of all the departments have been directed to carry out the scrutiny of the applications and submit the details of eligible and ineligible candidates to the administration by June 25.
"Since the matter is sub judice, further admission process, which includes interviews before the Research and Recognition Committee, will be carried out only after the court ruling," he added.
