Rejecting the proposal of conducting Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) exam in the city, the commission has confirmed its exam centres in rural areas of district for exam that that will be held on May 18.
Around 7000 candidates appearing for the MPSC examination will have to visit neighbouring talukas of Paithan, Kannad, Bidkin and Pachod as there is no centre in the city. This is the first time when MPSC exams are being held at in rural areas.
Earlier, the MPSC exam was going to take place on April 7 but its date clashed with exams of exams Mhada, Food Corporation of India, along with common entrance tests for IIT entrance tests (JEE) by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). As exam centres in the city were already occupied, MPSC could not find a place for conducting exams. But due to some technical problems in computer systems, MPSC the exam was postponed to May 18. Considering the changed date, the district administration sent a proposal to change the venues of exam centres to new centres in Aurangabad city but the proposal was rejected and the same centres in taluka places were confirmed. ,
Six exams in May 2013.
There will six competitive exams in the city in the month May 2013. The medical entrance examination National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ( NEET) will take place on May 5, while Staff Selection Commission"s exam for constable (GD) will be held on May 12 for which nearly 500 candidates will appear. Aspirants of the Maharashtra Technology-Common Entrance Test (MT-CET) entrance test for engineering and pharmacy is on May 16 for which, 9478 candidates will appear. MPSC exam will be held on May 18 while on May 26, there will be exam of UPSC at 33 centres in the city with MPSC exams for the subject social welfare, group A.
Prasar Bharti"s exam postponed:
The Prasar Bharti had organised exams for Engineering Assistant and Technician on May 26 but since UPSC"s exam for civil services will take place on the same day, the Prasar Bharti exams will be postponed to July 21.
