Marathwada Khadi Gramodyog Samiti work is far better as compared to other bodies in Maharashtra and we are proud of this, said P R Brahmne, director Maharashtra Khadi Gramodyog Mandal. He was speaking after inaugurating the renovated building of Khadi Bhavan here on Monday.
Some portion of the Khadi Gramodyog Bhandar in Sarafa was demolished during the road widening work. The building was renovated and is now hosting Khadi Bhavan. Maharashtra Khadi Garmodyog Mandal secretary Ishwarrao Bhosikar, deputy director Shrivastav, Marathwada Khadi Gramodyog Samiti president N V Deshpande, trustee Prof Dinkar Borikar and others were present.
Lauding the work of Marathwada Samiti, Brahmne said that other trusts should emulate example of this Samiti. There are only six trusts in Maharashtra producing khadi and out of them the work of Marathwada Samiti is noteworthy. Khadi Mandal is taking efforts so that government gives rebate to the Khadi trusts, he said.
