Architecture entrance examination on May 19 - Source LT

Students to get info brochure, application kit from April 25

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) will conduct MH-AR-CAT-2013 for the admission in the architecture degree course in government, aided, unaided institutes of the State, on May 19.
The sale of information brochure, along with the application kit, will start at the designated Application Form Receipt Centres (ARCs) on April 25. The last date for submission and confirmation of the online applications is May 2. The entrance examination will be conducted on May 19 at 2 pm and result declared on May 27. The ARC for the city is the Government College of Engineering.
The entrance examination will consist of one common question paper of 200 maximum marks in the subjects of Aesthetic Sensitivity (100 marks) and Drawing (100 marks) to test the aptitude of the aspirants. Candidates who have passed or appeared for HSC examination should have minimum 50 per cent marks (45 per cent in case of backward class students and persons with disability of the State), conducted by their respective state examination boards.
A candidate should obtain minimum 40 per cent marks (80 marks) out of the total 200 marks in MAH-AR-CAT-2013 for the eligibility for the admission in architecture degree course, while minimum marks for a candidate of backward class category and persons with disability of the State is 35.
