A convention of ex-students of Vasantrao Naik College will be held on April 7.
Chairman of Vasantrao Naik Shikshan Prasarak Mandal and principal Rajaram Rathod said that the convention is being hosted as part of celebration of birth centenary of former chief minister Vasantrao Naik.
He said that increasing quality with pace of changing education policy is a challenge and our institution is ready to face it.
Former Union minister Babanrao Dakhne will inaugurate the convention. Discussions will be held on issues like challenges in higher education. The college was started during the devastating 1972 famine in the State.
"Marathwada has become an important centre for poor, deprived and underprivileged elements of students," he said. Many ex-students are holding big posts in government and private sectors. He hoped that their students will shine in different sectors in future too. The sessions will be from 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm.
