Around 16,966 students will take the first-ever Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)-Main 2013 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) at 33 centers in the city on Sunday (April 7).
All preparations have been made for smooth conduct of the examination.
Besides eight districts of Marathwada region, students arrived here from Ahmednagar, Jalgaon, Bhusawal and Buldhana here till late night to appear for the first-ever JEE.
The centers included S B College, Marathwada Institute of Technology and Deogiri College.
The CBSE has deputed 33 observers for the test, one for each exam centre.
The JEE (Main) 2013 (paper-I) is for admission to Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Technology courses consisting of one objective-type question paper covering Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
The duration of the paper-I is three hours from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm.
The paper-II is for the admissions to Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Planning courses scheduled to be held in afternoon session ( 2 pm to 5 pm) on Sunday.
The three-hour paper will consist of mathematics, aptitude and drawing test. Online examination would be held from April 8 to 25.
