No change in engg. examination schedule
There were speculations that the schedule of engineering exams would be revised along with that of the traditional degree courses. However, there is no change in the timetable of the engineering (undergraduate and postgraduate) exams, which are beginning on May 22. —UG (Arts, Science, Commerce, Social Science & Fine Arts) examinations starting on March 7
—PG (Arts, Science, Commerce, Social Science), BMCJ, MA (MCJ), B Lib, M Lib, Diploma in Journalism, Diploma in Pali and Buddhism and MSW exams from March 22
Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) is conducting the examinations of various undergraduate courses from Thursday.
Following the preponement of the examinations by 15 days owing to the prevailing drought in Marathwada, the examination department has prepared a model schedule to conduct all the examinations of undergraduate courses within 27 days.
Accordingly, around 2.50 lakh students of BA, B Com, B Sc, BCS, B Sc (IT and Biotech) will take their examinations from Thursday. There are over 400 examination centres in Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed and Osmanabad districts, including 175 centres for BA, 105 for B Sc and 86 for B Com. Postgraduate students will take their examinations from March 22. According to controller of examinations Dr Ashok Chavan, all the principals have been asked to appoint internal vigilance squads to prevent copying. He said these squads would be comprised of four members, including a senior teacher, lady teacher and two teachers.
