Pune college bags top spot in Prometheus - Source LT

The robot design of the PVPIP College Pune was selected for the first prize in the 'Prometheus-2013' robo war competition organised by the Government Engineering College. 

PVPIP College outclassed Sinhagad College of Engineering, Pune team in the final and clinched the title. 
The competition was organised by the students of the Mechanical and Electronics departments of the Government Engineering College. The events held during the competition were Robo Race, Pick and Place, Line Follower, Robo War, Paper Presentation, Water Rocket and others. 
Around 3,000 students from various engineering colleges participated in the competition. The final was held between PVPIP College and Sinhagadh College on March 16. 
The winning team comprised Puja Wadekar, Vijay Mohite, Vaibhav Navale and Santosh Patil. 
The prizes were distributed to the winners in the presence of Varroc Group vice-president M P Sharma, Prof Prachi Bhagat, Prof S D Ambekar and others. 
Students representatives, Chetan Zawar, Ninad Nikam, Vishal Vadje, Suraj Chamle and others took efforts for the success of the competition. Principal P S Adwani giving away prize to the winning team of Prometheus 2013 in Aurangabad on Sunday.
