It seems that the Ph D research aspirants within the jurisdiction of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University will have to wait for some more time for their admissions.
It was speculated that the university will issue notification on March 14 for starting the Ph D admission process.
However, due to uproar in the Senate meeting over the budget and other issues, the administration is busy in tackling the situation and could not issue the notification for it. The university declared the results of Ph D Entrance Test (PET)-2012 more than one month ago with more than one and half months delay. It was expected that the result would be declared by the end of December 2012. Those who qualified PET-12 thought that the admission process will start within few days after the declaration of the results. Contrary to it, nothing has been done so far. Hundreds of students who cleared the PET are waiting for admission process. Once the notification is issued, the students will have to give presentation before the Research and Recognition Committee of the respective subject.
Director of Board of College and University Development Dr M S Shingare said that the notification may be issued on or after March 23. However, he refused to comment over the delay in issuing the notification.
