Students say they are benefitting from semester system
The semester examinations of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) began last week. The exam fever gripped colleges, hostels and city. However, due to the semester pattern, students are not under any tension, it has been observed.
The exams of BA, B Com, B Sc and BCS are underway in nearly all colleges affiliated to Bamu. Due to drought, exams are being held in March instead of April this year. The colleges were already informed about the change and asked to complete the syllabus by taking extra classes. They worked on holidays also to avoid any inconvenience to the students. When their reactions were sought on the examination, many students said they solved all papers with ease and found no difficulty. There was no tension because all question papers were easy. The second semester students are taking examination at home centres. The semester pattern was implemented replacing the annual pattern by the university approximately five years ago. A positive approach is seen among students of the two semesters as compared to the annual exam.
