No negative marking
There will be no negative marking in the CET which will be held through centralised system, said Dr Shivankar. On May 16, the paper of physics and chemistry will be held from 10 am to 11 am, biology from 12 noon to 1.30 pm and mathematics from 3 pm to 4.30 pm. The candidates having PCM group will get three and half hours time for preparations. Approval to new colleges in April
As per the court directive, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) should clear the applications for approval to new colleges and increase the admission capacity by April 10. Court also said that State Government should complete the procedure of giving nod to the new colleges by May 15.

The admission process for engineering courses will begin on March 18 and be completed within two months after the result of Common Entrance Test (CET) as per the directives of the Supreme Court. The sale of application forms for the CET will begin on March 18.
Nearly 30,000 students from Marathwada are going to appear for MT-CET-2013 for engineering, MBA, and pharmacy courses, said technical education joint director Dr Mahesh Shivankar. "At present, we are seeking the number of students appearing for the CET from the colleges. The application brochures is available for colleges at Aurangabad, Nanded's Government Engineering College and polytechnic colleges at Beed, Osmanabad, Jintur, Hingoli and Latur. Fee of the application brochure for open category students is Rs 700 and Rs 500 for the reserved candidates. The application kit includes the user name and password for logging in for online application. Students should fill the application form online and submit its printout with their respective colleges. Hall tickets will be issued from May 9 onwards. The CET will be held at the district headquarters. Tentative schedule for admissions
