The mechanical engineering department of the Government College of Engineering, Aurangabad (GCEA) will organise 'Prometheus-2013', a national-level competition from March 15.
College principal Dr P S Advani will inaugurate the competition at 10 am in the presence of Dr R K Shrivastav and Dr A S Bhalchandra. The two-day event will have interesting competitions such as robot war, robot race, water rocket, pick and place, line follower, paper presentation, general quiz and metlab megpace, said S D Ambekar, professor and staff co-ordinator of GCEA.
On March 15, qualifying round will be held. Teachers Ambekar, P H Bhagat, event co-ordinator Chetan Jhawar, Ninad Nikam, Vishal Waduje and Suraj Chamle have appealed to all the students to participate in the competition.
Water rocket workshop on Mar 13
Meanwhile, the GCEA will organise a water-rocket workshop on March 13. This will be a free of cost (IIT Mumbai) workshop. Students interested for registration can contact 9922531019.
Dr Pole to present research paper
The Interve-ntional Radiol-ogist from MGM Hospital Dr Shivaji Pole's research thesis 'Successful Endovascular Treatment for Celiac Artillery Aneurysm Coil Embolization' will be presented at an International Conference to be held at Hong Kong between March 17 and 20.
The research is based on the studies of the patients of ceiliac artillery at MGM Hospital. MGM vice-president Dr P M Jadhav, dean Dr Ajeet Shroff, CEO Dr Pravin Suryawanshi, Dr Girish Gadekar and others have congratulated Dr Pole.
