Hundreds of students of BCS course could not take their last paper in the district due to sudden change in the examination schedule by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU).
The Examinations Department started holding examinations of the students of fourth semester of BCS on March 7. The students were issued computer-generated hall tickets.
As per the schedule of paper named C+ + (Object-Oriented Programming Language) given on the hall ticket, it was mentioned that the paper would be conducted on March 13, from 2 pm to 3.30 pm. However, the university conducted the paper a day before on March 12.
As per the schedule, students reached the centers of examinations on Wednesday, but they were not allowed to take examination as the paper was already conducted by the university.
When the students reached the Examinations Department and met its top officers, they were informed that the revised schedule of the paper was issued to the colleges on March 1 only.
Significantly, each student of the course is paying Rs 50 per semester for various online facilities including getting updates on examinations and results. But they did not receive any message from the university about change in paper's schedule.
