BAMU revises UG examination paper pattern - Source LT

Students will take 50 marks theory papers, instead of 30

The Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University administration has decided to revise the exam pattern for undergraduate courses with 50 marks of theory instead of 30 marks, from the upcoming academic year.
Currently, undergraduate students take 30/20 (theory/practical) mark papers each semester. Following members' demands, the administration decided to make each theory paper of 50 marks. BA/B Com students will no longer have assignments (practicals) of 20 marks. Science students already have separate practicals so they will also not have to take assignments of 20 marks. However, the length of the paper is still to be decided upon. The administration has formed a committee which will decide what the duration of the paper should be. The decision was approved at an Academic Council meeting held on Monday.
Registrar Dr Dhanraj Mane and Board of College and University Development director Dr M S Shingare said that the new pattern will be implemented from the 2013-2014 academic year.
