Bamu plans two-day State-level seminar - Source LT

■ Birth centenary of Yashwantrao Chavan, Vasantrao Naik

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) is holding a two-day state-level seminar from March 22 to celebrate the birth centenary of Yashwantrao Chavan and Vasantrao Naik. 
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, head of the Mass Communication and Journalism Department, Bamu, Dr Sudhir Gavahane said the birth centenary year of Yashwantrao Chavan and Vasantrao Naik is being celebrated across the State and the seminar is part of the celebration.
He said teachers, researchers and students from social science and arts faculties would participate in the event. Each day would have three sessions, thus a total of six sessions would be conducted.
Experts and researchers would shed light on the life, work and thoughts of Yashwantrao Chavan on the first day of the seminar, while the concluding day would be devoted for their contributions in the development of the State.
Meanwhile, a central organising and advisory committee has been formed by the vice chancellor for the event. The committee is comprised of members of Management Council, Senate, Academic Council and top officers of the university.
