Agitation by A'bad journalists association - Source LT

The Aurangabad Journalists Association has strongly objected to the breach of privilege motion moved by Maharashtra legislators in both houses of the legislature against IBN Lokmat editor Nikhil Wagle and ABP Majha editor Rajiv Khandekar. The journos held a demonstration at Kranti Chowk on Monday. Scribes also shouted slogans against the MLAs who filed the breach of privilege motion. They demanded a separate act for protection of scribes. The journos agitated from 11.30 am to 1 pm.
A police sub-inspector was thrashed by some MLAs at Vidhan Bhawan and its media's duty to bring to the fore the misdeed as was done by Wagale and Khandekar. It was not a case of breach of privilege, and we condemn the MLAs for tabling the motion, said journalists Dr Anil Phale, Pramod Mane, Balaji Suryavanshi and others.
