Sex racket busted in Garkheda. Source: Lokmat Times

The crime branch of the city police claim to have busted a sex racket with the arrest of four persons, including two sex workers and two pimps, from Adarshnagar in Garkheda, on Tuesday evening.
The police say the pimps have been identified as Chandrakant Navnath Sonwane and Praveen Navnath Sonwane, who had been running a flesh trade at their house in Gangamai Residency, Garkheda.

Acting assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Rameshwar Thorat, on receiving a tip-off, directed crime branch API Arjun Pawar to take necessary steps. API Pawar swung into action and laid a trap at the house with the help of decoys on Tuesday evening. The Sonwanes took them as genuine customers and arranged everything for them. And when the decoys signalled, crime branch policemen made their entry and arrested the brother duo and two girls.
A case under the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA) has been registered against the four with the Mukundwadi police station.
